FAQs
Here are some of the questions I have received over the past few summers:
· Exactly how far are you from the beach?
· How soon do I need to make my reservations?
· Why are single family homes preferred over multi-units?
· What's there to do on LBI? Is it kid friendly?
· How many parking spots are available for this home?
· Do your guests like this home?
· My dog is extremely well behaved, why can't I bring him along?
· My mother may be visiting, does she have to worry about lots of steps?
· I love your house! But the week I want is already taken. Do you own any other properties on LBI?

Q: Exactly how far are you from the beach?
A: One block. This bay side home, with a bay view, is located on one of the narrower parts of the island. There are traffic lights both a block north and south of our street, making it very easy to cross as the lights are synchronized and traffic stops simultaneously one block away from us in both directions. As a family with small children, we find this walk very easy.
Q: How soon do I need to make my reservations?
A: LBI grows more popular each year with visitors from the Jersey mainland, New York, and the Philadelphia area. While I have received inquiries as early as a year in advance, I've noticed that many returning LBI visitors make their final arrangements in December through February for the coming summer.
Has your vacation week already been taken?
It's never too early to start thinking about next summer. If you'd like to be on my Early Reminder Email list for the upcoming season, please send me an email now. Note: Until a contract is issued, this is not a guarantee of reservations.
Q: Why are single family homes preferred over multi units?
A single family home provides a quiet, private, and peaceful setting. In a multi dwelling unit - you will have strangers living in the same building with you. Just like a hotel, you may not see them, but you will certainly hear them as they come and go throughout the day and night. Keep in mind that in a multi dwellings you may be required to share the BBQ grill, the outdoor shower, and the washer and dryer.
Q: What is there to do on Long Beach Island?
A: LBI is a wonderful place for your family to visit. As so many families choose come back year after year, this island has lots to offer everyone of every age. To read more about it, please see my LBI: Learn More About It page.
Q: How many parking spots are there?
A:Two. You can park on our new driveway and/or you can park on the street directly in front of our house.
Q: Do your guests like this home?
A: Yes, they do! To read their compliments and suggestions, please go to Guest Comments. These are comments that I have inputted directly from my guest book.
Q: My dog is extremely well behaved, why can't I bring him along?
A: As pet owners (cat and dog), we understand how hard it is to leave certain family members behind. However, in consideration of our guests who suffer from allergies, we want to insure that this home is as comfortable and as clean as possible. After all, everyone deserves to have an enjoyable vacation. We can provide numbers for local vets, boarding kennels, and even, our favorite groomer! You may also want to check www.petvr.com and www.peoplewithpets.com. At the time of this writing, neither site had many LBI listings.
Q: My mother may be visiting, does she have to worry about steps?
A: No. This single family home is one level and ideal for senior citizens. Some duplexes and condos require you to climb several steps, depending on which floor you have rented. Here, there are three steps leading into the house and 2 small steps leading down from the deck in the backyard. See the pictures.
Q: I love your house! But the week I want is already taken, do you own any other LBI properties?
A:
No, just this one. And yes, we would love to own and renovate another home on the island. In the meantime, if you'd like me to send you an email when our next year rates are set, please contact me and I'll put you on the Early Reminder Email List.
